1. Official diagnosis of ongoing mental health challenges and letter of referral from a psychiatrist or psychologist (please note a referral from a psychotherapist will not suffice).

2. Located within Kildare, Meath or Dublin. 

3. Age 15+ (including no children in the home under 5 years old).

4. Enclosed garden for well-being and safety of the dog.

5. Availability to attend training sessions weekly while completing assigned homework at home. 

6. Financially able to look after the dog’s needs. Canine Therapy Ireland CLG will cover the cost of training, public liability insurance, harness on placement and a working jacket. Costs of the client will include: all vet costs (including neuter/spay), grooming, feeding, additional equipment and all wellbeing supplies. 

7. Someone in the home during the day so the dog is not left for long periods of time by themselves.
